Youth v Holy Name 6th May 2007 - South Staffs Cup Final.
On a windy day at Chasetown FC's crowd a depleted Chaddesley lined up to battle for the South Staffs Cup, in a repeat of their achievements from last year. With Brad away, Snake and Rob on duty elsewhere and Marcus cup tied a squad of 12 worthy men turned out to walk the pitch and check the surface. In the changing rooms the mood was focussed as Gaffer Austin delivered his team talk. As the game kicked off Rhino was captain and Chaddesley played into the wind. Holy name had the kick off and immediately played it to the runners up front, Chaddesley responded well and held the line. A good save from Tom kept out an early attack as Chaddesley went on the attack and won their first corner, which was taken well by Tolley, flicked on by Andy but came to nothing. Almost immediately a long range shot from outside of the area gave Tom a warning as it went wide, then another long range effort went high over the keeper and put Holy Name 1-0 up. Number 2 came 5 minutes later as Holy Name piled the pressure on as another shot found the net. Bachie got clobbered in the middle of the park but got up to battle on, Andy was battling hard, Rolo made some good runs round the back as Chaddesley sprang into life calling on their keeper to make 2 good saves. Number 3 came out of the blue as a counter attack down their right saw the ball slotted home. Chaddesley kept fighting with Westy, Andy and Tolley all going for goal. With 5 minutes to half time a break through the middle saw Westy pull one back with a good left footed shot on the run. Rhino was put through by Kieron as the half time whistle blew and Chaddesley had started playing. After half time an Austin inspired team talk saw Chaddesley looking bright as they kicked off with the wind at their backs. Good runs from Andy and Bachie saw Chaddesley looking threatening and the next goal was going to be all important. Unfortunately it went the way of Holy Name, despite plenty of Chaddesley endeavour in the first 10 minutes as a run round the back saw the ball crossed for a slotted goal. A 25 yard foul saw Kieron take a free kick which was saved well, Andy ran round 3 and got tackled as the break cost Chaddesley dear with number 5 a run and shot through the middle. Holy Name then had a goal disallowed for offside. Louis replaced Tolley in forward midfield and came on full of running and Chaddesley started on the attack again. After a good run and pass to Rolo Louis ran back into the centre for a return ball but Rolo was upended and the loose ball fell to Andy to shoot and score for 5-2. A Reeson free kick came to nothing as the game drew to a close. A good final played in the spirit of the game saw Holy Name lift the cup with a deserved victory.

Youth v Kidderminster Lions - Monday 30th April 2007.
A meaningless league game kicked off early as 2nd played 1st in the league on a sunny Monday evening in April. The game started brightly in midfield as both teams started playing the ball about. Rhino, Kieron and Andy were tackling well as Matty Smith held the ball up well for Kidderminster. Breaks round the back from both sides saw Westy through and the Kidderminster no7 likewise. A Marcus blaster stung the keepers hands and Rolo had a good run midway through the first half. Rob went clean through after a Rolo flick on but put it wide but it didn't stop Matty scoring with a well taken goal after being given too much space. The second half saw Chaddesley on the attack, starting the second half as they finished the first. Wagga the dodgy Kiddy linesman was keeping the crowd amused as a Reeson free kick went close. Chaddesley pushed forward and went 2 down against the run of play - Austin was not happy. Eventually a Westy run saw a corner won which Brad took and Andy headed towards goal, hitting the post and following up the rebound. Chaddesley won another corner which came to nothing as Kidderminster played the counter attack. Eventually a foul on Brad saw Kieron step up to score with a superb effort into the top corner of the goal, from outside the area. The ref finally blew his whistle and everyone went home happy sharing the spoils.

Northside FC v Youth - Wed 25th April 2007.
Chaddesley kicked off a midweek fixture in glorious sunshine on a small pitch near Worcester racecourse. Linesman Moore was way behind play for most of the game but it didn't stop Chaddesley scoring the first goal as Louis and Westy combined well to set up Rhino to pass to Rob for Andy to let the trigger go from 20 yards out - good goal. A couple of nominal attacks were dealt well with by Tom in goal as the triangles in midfield started to take shape, Austin was quiet and the team was functioning well. A shot from Westy went wide and Tolley cleared his lines well to set up an attack where Chaddesley went close. Number 2 came from a great move as Bachie finished from outside the area after a good build up, number 3 was scored by Kieron with a running shot just after Rhino had gone close. Number 4 saw Rob play into feet for Bachie to slot home well just inside the area. Immediately after half time Chaddesley won a corner after good work from Bachie and a Brad shot found Andy with time to swivel and blast home form 12 yards for 5. A rare Northside break saw a mistake in defence and the ball slotted home under Tom for a soft goal, Austin wasn't happy at that! Out of nowhere Westy was put in goal and Tom went right side of midfield, the crowd went wild. Number 6 followed 3 or 4 Chaddesley attacks with Louis crossing well from a tight angle and Kieron shooting well. Rolo was running well and got one on one but missed his chance. Westy survived a corner and from a corner down the other end a Tom header fell free back at his feet for him to shoot home for his first (and probably only goal of the season :) his Mum was sooooooo proud. Number 7 was a superb goal from Brad as he stepped inside twice and shot from 25-30 yds out into the top corner and number 8 resulted from a corner as again Brad scored into the top corner. Everyone went to the pub !

Youth v Nunnery Pumas - 22nd April 2007 - League Cup Final.
Gaffer Austin gave Lukie the honour of being captain for the day after a kind offer from club captain Rhino to stand down. The Stourport Swifts pitch was hard but flat and little did we know but we were in for a footballing feast. As the game kicked off Captain Quance was straight into the action and Chaddesley had an early break with Marcus going wide from the left. A Nunnery attack saw a good ball whipped in but to no advantage. Lorraine got hit with the ball and after 10 minutes a sustained period of Chaddesley passing saw three attacks come to nothing. A Nunnery counter attack saw the lively number 7 doing well to win a second corner. Tom caught the ball well and set off Rhino from a good throw, Westy and Rolo got involved as a Brad free kick saw a Westy header go over by two feet. With 18 minutes gone Rob came on for Marcus due to injury and a Kieron shot go over. Chaddesley then had a superb footballing move after a Westy header put Rob in round the back only to see his cross saved, almost immediately in a carbon copy Rob again crossed after Rhino put him through. Eventually Andy Reeson ran through on goal after a great footballing move to slot home no 1 under the keeper (and get booked for the celebration). A Chaddesley passing move saw Rolo win a corner from brad and Tolley picked up the loose ball to smash it home. Number 3 saw Andy pass wide to Rhino and slot Rolo through to slide home, Nunnery were being outfootballed. Half time was met by Gaffer Austin asking for more … more football ... more passing and Moore tackling! After the break the teams lined up as they went in and Nunnery put up a spirited fight from the off. Chaddesley went on the attack and the Snake came on for a run. Bachie was in round the back and Louis came on for Rolo, causing trouble by working hard. Chaddesley attacked well and Mann defended the counter attack well with a confident Ellis helping out. Andy then ran round four and scored number 4 from distance over the keeper with a superb goal to send the crowd into raptures. The game then settled down as Chaddesley went on numerous attacks, with Nunnery playing the counter attacking game and Chaddesley having a goal ruled offside. Man of the match Reeson then had 2 blasters saved well and took a breather. Kieron went in goal for the last five minutes as the clock run down, as the final whistle went a superb footballing performance had seen Chaddesley lift the cup and a proud Austin was delighted as he took the plaudits for a great footballing display. Chairman Dave Yardley was a proud man.

Youth v Cookley Boys - 8th April 2007.
Old foe Cookley came to town for what was going to be a very close semi-final according to the form book. Both teams came out full of enthusiasm to a game watched by the league, Reeson and Tom were missing so the Snake deputised in goal. From the off the pace was as expected and tackles were flying in, Rolo in particular got upended a couple of times as the ref had to intervene. A Chaddesley break saw some good movement found the back as a Rhino header went over, another good Ki pass saw Rolo on the break and eventually Rhino saw his effort stopped by Harrison in the Cookley goal. Half way through the first half a foul 25 yds out saw a Ki free kick turn well round the post as Harrison got down well. As the half drew on both teams were playing attacking football as the ref was on his whistle a lot, Chaddesley free kick from Brad saw Harrison save again as Cookley won a couple of corners. The Cookley number 9 then collected a booking for a foul on Rhino and the Snake was called into action to make a good save at the feet of 2 attackers. Rob then collected a booking for a foul on Harrison. A Westy run round the back saw him through but not complete as half time saw a restoration of order as the teams went in level. Both teams came out with no change after half time as Chaddesley went on the attack. Cookley had a header go over the bar after a Snake clearance, Rob got through on goal but the ref blew up for a foul, Chaddesley won a free kick deep and then won a throw far up the line on the right which Nick threw in, Rob flicked on, Westy had a shot which was saved by the on rushing Harrison, for the ball to land at Rolo's feet and allow him to slot home from 4 yds out - the crowd went mad. As the game reached boiling point the ref threatened to call it off if certain persons in the Cookley camp persisted with criticisms and unsporting comments, both managers were called together as the ref explained the consequences should it continue. Thankfully after that the game re-focussed on football as both teams attacked, Cookley by the ball over the top for fast players to run onto and Chaddesley by passing and playing the channels. A number of Cookley corners and free kicks were defended well with the Snake looking confident in goal and having good spatial awareness. Chaddesley had the ball in the net with Rob challenging a Harrison spill but the ref adjudged it to be unfair and disallowed the goal. With 10 minutes left Cookley changed formation with 1 man up front but Mann, Quance (on a number of occasions) and Tolley handled the change well. Rhino went off with a knee injury so Louis came on up front and did well causing trouble, chasing and hassling the defenders. A late free kick at the edge of the Chaddesley area, given bizarrely against the Snake for time wasting, when the kick was blocked by a Cookley player, was the last action of the game as the final whistle blew.

Youth v Worcester Colts - 25th March 2007.
A confident Chaddesley started well against Worcester with Marcus making good testing runs down the left, the Worcs keeper was down injured early on as he landed heavily on his shoulder in a routine save. A superb move between four Chaddesley players saw a good move come to nothing and again the keeper was down having his shoulder treated. Both Andy and Brad had shots go close with the former hitting the side netting. Rhino got caught offside as did Westy but eventually Chaddesley went 1 up with a good move involving Rolo who crossed well round the back of the keeper the ensuing scramble saw the ball fall to Westy whose high shot from 18 yds could only be parried by the scrambling keeper and Bard knocked in the lose ball. The crowd went wild. No2 came quite quickly as a Rhino through ball to sandy saw him lob the keeper in a one on one. No 3 was a superb example of passing football as a Mann throw up the line was well run onto by Rolo who flicked it on to Andy, Andy's cross field ball to Rhino saw him rushing in like an express train to score past the keeper. As the half time approached Chaddesley played some good attacking football. As the second half started old boy 'Lozza' was spotted in the crowd cheering his mates on as Worcs were late coming out for the second half. Andy was again causing trouble and winning balls in the middle. Good covering work at the back shut up shop as Westy and Rolo had a breather for Rob and Bachie, Louis and Snakey came on as Brad and Ki had a breather. Bachie and Rob both went close as again keeper Tom had a run up front as Ki went in goal. A Rob cross saw Tom have a header go wide and a powerful shot saved as Chaddesley kept up the pressure to run the clock down. Eventually the ref blew for full time and everyone went down the pub - very nice.

A very windy day saw old boy Matty Smith line up with his 'mother' club against Chaddesley as a tense semi final got underway. Rob took his place in midfield as an otherwise unchanged side kicked with the wind in the first half. Both teams were playing some good football in this 1st vs 2nd clash. Some good Chaddesley defending by Mann, Tolley and Lukie gave a reassuring feel to the proceedings as the game battled away in midfield. Rhino and Kieron battled away hard in midfield as both teams were putting some strong tackles in. Eventually from a good spell of pressure a ball whipped in from the left saw Westy unmarked outside the area and after looking up his shot beat Tom the Kiddy keeper and found it's way into the back of the net, the fans went wild. As the game drew towards half time both Mann and Lukie were called upon to help out the outstanding Tom in goal who was brave a couple of times. The turn around saw Kiddy shuffle the pack with the wind at their back as Chaddesley remained unchanged. Sustained Kiddy pressure saw some confident defending and excellent counter attacks as they had everything but the kitchen sink thrown at them. Reeson and Parkes did well to hold the ball up when they could with the former suffering cramp and being helped out by Bachie. As the game drew to a close Chaddesley looked in control after more good defending from the impressive back line and the ball was being held up well as the game swung from end to end. Eventually as Chaddesley were on the attack the ref blew the whistle on a very fair match played in the spirit of the game. Well played both teams.

A formation change saw gaffer Austin shuffle the pack for the encounter against Northside. A shaven headed Louis started at right back and Kieron was playing deep. Chaddesley started playing some nice football and won a corner early on, quickly followed by another which resulted in a Tolley header being tipped over. Marcus made some good breaks down the left and saw a good cross well cleared. A 3rd corner saw a good Reeson header find the back of the net to put Chaddesley 1-0 up. After 20 minutes gone Chaddesley won their 4th corner to keep the pressure on and a fantastic move between Bachie, Westy and Rhino saw Rolo blast over from 6 yards out - the pressure was on. Corner no 5 saw the ball in the net ball it was ruled offside. A good one-two between Rolo and Andy saw him score with his right foot from the angle to make it 2 before half time. The second half saw wholesale changes and the whole Chaddesley front line took a break in a new 3 up front formation. Keeper Tom was playing up front for a change and had some good runs and a couple of shots. Rob was making good runs and Rhino was in round the back a couple of times to set up Tolley for a shot. Corners 7 and 8 followed in quick succession to keep the pressure up as an injured Tolley took a break, Louis and Marcus took a breather as Westy and Rolo went back up front. No 3 came from a very good move as a Rob run from very deep saw a one-two with Kieron finished with style - great goal. Rhino had a scorcher go wide and corner number 9 saw Chaddesley close again as Andy blasted over. The final whistle blew with a rare counter attack underway and everyone shook hands as they walked off.

Cookley Boys v Youth - 25th February 2007.
Chaddesley welcomed Rhino back from his holidays as the kicked down the slope in the first half. Early on Andy Reeson on showed good speed to set up Kieron for a shot which came to nothing as the rain started. Reeson was then fouled to give a free kick just inside the Cookley half which was chipped over for Rolo and the lively Marcus to chase, the move eventually ended up with a good save from Cookley keeper Foster. A Westy run saw the a second shot on goal which went wide. A Cookley free kick came tpo nothing and likewise a Kieron free kick as Chaddesley won a corner. From the resulting corner an unchallenged Luke Quance header found the middle of the goal open and the crowd erupted as Chaddesley went 1-0 up. Andy Reeson did well from the restart to win a ball and shoot, Rolo, Rhino, Tolley and Mann were working hard and defending well as Cookley looked for the equaliser. As half time approached the game centred around midfield as the rain stopped. The ref was having a good game and was trying to play advantage wherever possible. After half time Rob came on up front for Andy Reeson and immediately caused trouble. Three times his speed caught Cookley flat at the back however the resulting shots went just wide or over. Ellis came on to play on the left as Marcus went in the middle. A Rob run from a Rolo through ball saw Rhino go close. Gaffer Austin made a couple of changes as Bachie and the Snake came on as Cookley pushed for the equaliser. Chaddesley were playing some good counter attacking football with Cookley keeper by far the busier of the two. Louis went down injured after a hefty tackle and Westy had to come back on as the magic water didn't seem to work this time! Eventually the Cookley pressure saw a couple of shots go well over but eventually they managed to get an equaliser with a long punt which found the defence flat footed. With 5 minutes left the odds were on a draw as Austin shuffled his pack once more. Bachie and the Snake made way for Kieron and Brad as Chaddesley looked to get their noses in front again. After a couple of warnings Rob popped up from a superb Austin through ball and beat the defence for pace to stab home from 12 yards despite the on-rushing keeper. Finally the ref blew for full time and the teams shook hands, although it had been a fiercely fought battle everyone retired to the clubhouse for a drink.

With Ryan Moore away and Andy Reeson ill gaffer Austin shuffled his pack and started Nick Mann at the back with Louis in midfield. After 7 minutes Chaddesley went 1-0 up after a good cross from debutant Marcus Whitehead found was met by Rolo and finished well by Westy with a high shot. An injury to Adam Bache saw the physio on quickly after shrieks from the ladies in the crowd when the ref played on, rightly so as it wasn't a head injury. After some magic water aforementioned Bache was fine and the game restarted sportingly with a pass back to the keeper. Again the tackles were flying in and the ref had a word with one player on the 25 minute mark. On 30 minutes Nunnery went forwards and equalised with a break away, only to see from the restart a fantastic run from Rolo end up at Brads feet, to smash number 2 home and restore the led on the stroke of half time! The second half saw some substitutions made as Rob, Kieron and The Snake came on to replace players that had run hard in the first half or taken knocks. Ben Tolley was showing good skills and Tom 'the Cat' Davidson was excellent showing firm handling and bravery on a number of occasions when under pressure. Nick Mann was also showing strength in the tackle as Chaddesley pushed forwards, a great corner from Mann saw a volley go close as the pressure mounted. Luke Quance was marshalling the back line well as the clock ticked towards full time. Louis replaced Ellis with 15 to go and from a break which involved Kieron, the Snake and Westy debutant Marcus scored a superb goal with his right foot from the outskirts of the area to send the crowd wild. Almost immediately a wonder goal from defence saw Rob Parkes claiming the plaudits as his run and one-two from defence finished in a superb shot from distance the make it 4. A great display finished with a round of applause as both teams left the field.

Youth v Halas Hawks - 4th February 2007 - South Staffs Cup.
The game started at a lively pace as Halas went on the attack from the off and captain Tolley had to issue the orders out to play football. From a corner which made its way to the back post Halas took the lead after 5 minutes and Chaddesley had a fight on their hands. From the restart Chaddesley attacked then Halas attacked and eventually the game stopped for 5 minutes to let a Halas player receive treatment. Chaddesley started putting the pressure on as Reeson had a shot saved by the keeper from a one on one and a Brad shot went wide. Bachie mopped up a couple of loose balls at the back and cleared his lines to give the ball to Reeson who fed Westy out wide, who beat 2 players and crossed for Mann to volley home with his left foot - the half time team talk followed. The second half kicked off with Reeson again going through one on one with no joy, orders came from the bench to play football and Rob Parkes came on. Chaddesley attacked well for long periods and kept passing the ball, as did Halas who were battling well. The second half consisted of mostly Chaddesley pressure with a couple of Halas breaks. Louis had a breather after running really hard all game and the Snake came on. The game entered extra time with both sides looking capable of scoring, Reeson again went one on one and fluffed his lines as Tolley went up into midfield. The Snake went close and Kieron had a shot saved just before the second half of extra time, the ref told both managers which end the penalties would be as they both made their substitutions for penalties. Chaddesley threw the dice one more time and launched an attack where the lively Rolo squirmed his way into the both to shoot, at which point an unfortunate Halas player handled in the area. Kieron stepped up and slotted the ball home very well remaining cool under pressure. What a great game, well played both teams.

Forest Falcons v Youth - 28th January 2007 - South Staffs Cup.
Chaddesley started off lively with Rhino and the Snake involved from the off. A neat move saw Ellis in round the back to cross well and a long range Kieron shot go just wide. Quite quickly Chaddesley took the lead as a through ball from Luke saw Westy run and hold off the challenge of two big defenders to chip the keeper with a well placed shot. Again Ellis was making good ground up the left and let a scorcher go from just inside the area. Forest falcons were mounting counter attacks but Lukie and Nick were holding the line well as the game went from box to box without anyone threatening until nice link up play between Rhino and Westy saw a shot go just wide. Tolley was playing well and set up Rolo for a good jinking run into the area only to see his shot saved. As half time arrived the game was nicely poised as Forest Falcons had to attack and would leave spaces at the back. The second half started with a change in line up as Brad replaced the Snake. Almost immediately Brad got stuck in and after being fed by a good run past three by Rhino he scored a great goal to make it 2-0. From the start Chaddesley scored again after a ball through the found Westy who showed Baker a clean pair of heels and passed to Brad to shoot from 10 yards out. Number 4 came after a nice one-two between Westy and Rhino ended up with the former placing a low shot past the keeper. As the final whistle drew closer Tom was replaced in goal by the Snake and went up front only to see 2 shots go really close. As the game ended Austin and the boys went home happy.

Youth v Cookley Boys 14th January League Cup
On a bright sunny day coach Austin started with a changed formation, juggling the front line a little. Chaddesley started well attacking a few times but had to be careful of dangerous counter attacking play. Early on Chaddesley won a couple of corners and a free kick on the outside of the area. After a spell of pressure Chaddesley won a throw deep as half time approached, Louis went close to scoring at the back post as the pressure paid of when a ball from the midfield saw Rolo and Andy link up well to put Westy through to chip the stranded Foster in goal. A penalty claim went unnoticed by the ref as the half drew to a close. As the second half started Cookley could and should have equalised as they got through one on one with the keeper, but a brave display saw Tom snuff out the danger and launch a counter attack via Ellis and Rhino to Westy who crossed and Rolo slotted home for 2-0, great counter attacking football. Nick Mann and Luke were getting involved as Andy went through one on one, Kieron had a screamer saved and Chaddesley won 2 corners in quick succession. The midfield saw a lot of the action towards the end of the game and Tom made another couple of excellent saves, as did Foster in the opposing goal to deny Brad with an angled shot. Westy missed from 4 yards out much to Austin's disgust, as the game drew to a close the referee was getting more and more involved. The Snake entered the game in place of Andy and Chaddesley gave away a dangerous free kick which lead to nothing. With a minute left Chaddesley held the line to run the clock down and earn a well deserved victory.

Kewford v Youth - 7th January 2007.
Chaddesley lined up against old adversary Kewford on a very muddy pitch as Austin took a full squad away. Very early on Chaddesley started well with a couple of good attacks with the lively Rolo. Kewford attacked back in what turned out to be a hard first half as they played up the slope, against the wind and rain. A Reeson shot stung the keepers hands as the game was fought in the muddy midfield. Good defending by Tolley saw Chaddesley looking strong at the back until the referee gave a slightly debatable penalty for a trailing leg, which Kewford despatched. Chaddesley responded by winning a series of corners as Kewford launched counter attacks until half time when boss Austin made some changes. Off came Mann, Reeson and Bache as The Snake, Ellis and Louis got their chance, and didn't they take it well. Almost immediately, with the wind and rain on their backs, Chaddesley turned the screw and Westy, now playing centre forward, won a throw, which was taken by Brad to do a 1-2 with Westy and cross to the Snake to rise well and score with a glancing header to draw us level. A free kick by Kieron went close as Rolo was tripped outside the box and in no time at all Louis nipped in at the back post to slot home after some superb work by Rhino and Snake in midfield. From the off Kewford went on the break which saw Ellis defending well. Chaddesley then went 3 up as Louis slotted home again as Westy went clean through only to see his shot rebound to the Chaddesley man. A fourth goal was disallowed for offside after the best move of the match saw Westy slot home after a fine Tolley-Snake combination. The game drew to a close as Kewford launched a couple of attacks without reward. Austin and the boys went home happy.

Youth v Hednesford (South Staffs Cup) - 3rd December 2006.
A sideways wind greeted the teams as they lined up for the South Staffs Cup 2nd round. Chaddesley won the toss and kicked off. Early on Rolo had a chance but shot straight at the keeper, almost immediately a well placed Westy shot from a one on one got Chaddesley going. Good defending from Brad saw corner given away and from the resulting wind affected in-swinger Chaddesley failed to clear their lines and Hednesford scrambled the ball home! From the start the rain started as Broughton went on the attack peppering the goal with shots. Good runs by Mann and Fazey saw Rolo go close again, Rhino hit the post and eventually the teams went in level at half time. The 2nd half saw Snake on for Louis and Ellis on for Bachie as coach Austin mixed it up a bit. Some superb defending by Mann tackle and clear the ball to Rolo who ran half the length of the pitch to shot across the box only for the ball to squirm in under the keeper for 2. The tackles were now flying in and it wasn't helped by weak refereeing. Westy was through to put Snake in when he should have shot, Rhino was fouled outside the area for Austin to shoot over from the free kick. Austin then put Rolo through for a great goal dribbled around three including the keeper. A nasty tackle on Austin resulted in more weak refereeing in what potentially could have been a leg breaker. Chaddesley answered in the best way possible by going on the attack with Brad scoring a blaster from outside of the area into the top corner. Almost immediately from the re-start strong tackling from Rhino saw him win the ball, chip over the defence, and set up Westy to lob the keeper - great goal. Coach Austin swapped Westy and Rolo for Louis and Bachie as the tackled continued to fly in. The Snake got himself on the score sheet with a deflected goal and it has to be said the celebration was better than the goal itself. A Rhino step over set up Louis to score a good goal from an angle as the final whistle went. A few players shook hands as Hednesford started the long drive home.

Youth XI v Worcester Colts- Sun 19th November 2006.
After a weeks break Chaddesley lined up against Worcs Colts on a cold windy day at Longmore. Andy Reeson was missing and coach Austin went with 2 up front. Almost immediately Worcs went 1-0 up after a spill from the keeper, much to the delight of the travelling crowd. Chaddesley responded well and mounted some good counter attacks. The lively Ryan Moore was doing well pushing forwards and was eventually felled for a penalty which Kieron Austin slotted home well. The tempo of the game picked up and as a pass back wasn't cleared Worcs went 2-1 up. Jake Smith entered the game for Louis as the team went in for a half time team talk. From the off Chaddesley came out firing on all cylinders with Westy now involved and Rolo making good runs. Following a blatant hand ball in the area by Worcs the ref played advantage and Westy managed to slot the ball home out of the keepers reach after a Bradley Preene through ball. After good work from Luke and Snakey a Rolo cross was met by Bradley Preene to smash the ball home. Rhino went close as the tackles went flying in all around the park. Eventually a run and break saw Worcs draw level as the ref blew his final whistle …. the season of 'nearly' results continued.

Great Wyrley v Youth XI - South Staffs Cup 2nd round - 5th November 2006.
From the off Chaddesley won a corner and hit the bar from the in swinger and only moments later another well taken corner saw Bradley Preene cross for Ryan Moore to score. Within minutes of going one up Chaddesley scored number 2 after a Kieron Austin throw was crossed by Luke Quance for Andy Reeson to smash home. Jack Roe was running well up and down the line showing good turns of speed and number 3 was from another corner as Andy Reeson headed home. From yet another corner a weak clearance was smashed home from outside the area by Kieron Austin to make it 4. A Daniel Weston throw set up Andy Reeson to cross for Luke Quance to make it 5 before half time. As the teams swapped Chaddesley had the slope in their favour and immediately went on the attack with Kieron Austin controlling things in the middle of the field laying off superb diagonal balls to spread the play. Against the run of play a lucky bounce saw Wyrley score with a spinning shot which left Tom Davidson no chance as he was wrong footed. Coach Austin changed the formation a little and swapped Bache and Fazey with Weston and Quance in midfield. An Austin diagonal ball saw Luke Quance on the overlap to lob the keeper for 6. Chaddesley had a free kick go close as both Tolley and Preene combined well in the middle of the park to eventually set up top scorer Roe for a good finish for number 7. A Louis Fazey cross went close and Chaddesley kept the pressure on by hitting the bar and winning plenty of corners. As the game finished both teams shook hands which highlighted the spirit the match had been played in.

Nunnery Pumas v Youth XI - 29th October 2006.
After a weekend off Chaddesley showed they were in confident mood against Nunnery Pumas with Jack Roe in fine form. After three early chances Chaddesley fell behind to an unfortunate penalty which saw a tangle of legs in the area result in a spot kick, which was duly despatched by Nunnery. Although one down Chaddesley responded by playing some fine football and were soon back on level terms with a well taken goal from Jack Roe after a surging Nick Mann run round the back found him free in the area. Number two came soon after as Ben Tolley and Dan Weston cleared well to find Bradley Preene in midfield, from the resulting pass Andy Reeson slotted home well from the angle. As half time approached Chaddesley went three up after constant pressure eventually paid off as Jack Roe took his second well after a move from the back that started with the lively Louis Fazey. After half time Ryan Moore and Adam Bache were playing well and a fast flowing move saw Bradley Preene shoot from outside the area for four. Number five came as Dan Weston found his way around the back only to see his shot pushed into the path of the advancing Jack Roe to give him the match ball. Brave goalkeeping by Tom Davidson in the Chaddesley goal saw him clattered after diving at an attackers feet half way through the second half and the game was stopped momentarily as he received treatment. Good runs by Ryan Moore from through balls by Kieron Austin capped a confident display by Chaddesley as the game drew to a close, and the score could have been increased but for some good defending. As the final whistle blew both teams shook hands and congratulated each other on a well fought game.

Kidderminster Lions v Youth XI - 15th October 2006.
In a table topping clash Chaddesley went away to play Kidderminster Lions at chainwire. The early exchanges were equal with both teams having good possession in spells and Andy Reeson had a good shot deflected wide, a couple of corners looked dangerous for Chaddesley and the attack looked lively on the break. Kidderminster midfielder Matty Smith, lining up against his old team mates, was mobile in midfield and in determined mood. After a very dubious free kick in their own half it was the Lions who took the lead with a ball through the middle to Matty Smith who turned the static Chaddesley defender to shoot across goal and score with a deflection. Minutes later the Lions made it 2-0 with a run and superb shot from Matty Smith from an angle as the defence backed off. Chaddesley answered with a run and shot by Andy Reeson which went just over and a good run by Jack Roe to go just wide. Half time saw a change a Dan Weston up front as Bradley Preene replaced Louis Fazey. Eventually a Lions run down the right saw them go 3 up with a good run and finish as Chaddesley finally woke up and started to play. A god corner from Bradley Preene saw Luke Quance flick it on for Dan Weston to slot home with a powerful high shot. Almost immediately the Lions scored again after a powerful cross shot was slotted home at close range from a rebound. Good football from Chaddesley saw Ryan Moore, Nick Mann and Jack Roe link up well trying to restore some pride but it wasn't to be as the final whistle blew Kidderminster run out worthy winners 4-1.

Chaddesley v Barbourne Celtic Sun XI - 1st October 2006.
A change of system enhanced the football and reignited Chaddesley's confidence. In the first forty-five minutes the away side hardly touched the ball, never mind had a shot at goal. The pass and move exhibition was excellent, with everyone showing and options in all directions this put Barbourne on the back foot right from the start. Two tremendous finishes by D.Ash ensured healthy lead at the break. Damian burst through from midfield to put the ball into the corner of the net, once with his left foot and once with his right. The difference at half time could have been more but for poor first touches by D.Ash and Woodhouse when in good positions. Damo's hat trick arrived just after the interval with another break from deep to put the ball through the keeper's legs when ten yard out. A consolation was scored by the visitors mid-way through the second period when a speculative hit from distance was fumbled by the ever-reliable Pearson to give the following up striker a tap in. This did not, however, diminish a superb performance.

Youth XI v Great Barr Harriers - South Staffs Cup - 1st October 2006.
Chaddesley kicked off their South Staffs Cup campaign this year with a fine win over Great Barr Harriers at Longmore. Chaddesley started passing the ball around right from the off. Great Barr Harriers found it hard to settle against a strong Chaddesley team and the early pressure paid off with Chaddesley going 6-0 up in the first 20 minutes, with some excellent goals being scored by Jack Roe 3, Dan Weston 1, Andy Reeson 1 and Ryan Moore 1. As the match moved into the second half Chaddesley coach Lee "tinkerman" Austin changed things around to give players experience in other positions. Although the score stayed at 6 Chaddesley never looked threatened and breezed to another clean sheet.

Summerhouse v Chaddesley Sun XI - 24th September 2006.
A miserable morning on a poor pitch resulted in Chaddesley yet again not finishing off, and losing to, a poor opposition. The away side tried the play passing football, and early on created some good chances, but these were not converted. Frustration began to sneak in and standard of play dropped in the second half, but not before Woodhouse had given Chaddesley a deserved lead fifteen minutes after the break. A corner was not cleared and Woody poked home from a yard. Summerhouse equalised when a cross was hooked home by their centre half. Chaddesley were at that point with only ten men on the pitch because D.Ash was told to leave the field until signalled following an injury. This got worse, heads dropped and shape evaporated. This invited the home side to press, and they took the lead with a good strike from eighteen yards out. Chaddesley still had chances to equalise, but Woodhouse and R.Ash fluffed these. The match was sealed with 5 minutes to go when a counter attack resulted in a strike hitting the roof of the net for the home side. Frustration took its toll, and Chaddesley assistant manager Darby was red carded for a late challenge in the dying seconds.

Youth XI v Forest Falcons - 26th September 2006.
Chaddesley Youth kept up the winning ways this weekend with a 9-0 win over Forest Falcons at Longmore with goals from Jack Roe (3), Daniel Weston (2), Luke Quance (2), Andy Reeson and Keiron Austin. Early on a determined Chaddesley won the midfield battle with good performances by Nick Mann, Ben Tolley and Ryan Moore and showed resolute defence on the rare occasion it was called upon, which kept the pressure on.
Going in half time 7 up coach Austin took the opportunity to change things around and encouraged his side to keep playing passing football, as in keeping with the training ground. As the second half drew to a close Broughton could have gone easily into double figures.

Chaddesley v Wordsley Lions Sun XI - 17th September 2006.
Playing on a decent surface really suits Chaddesley, and from this performance it will take a great side to beat them a chainwire this term. From start to finish the home side passed their opposition of the park. A super display of pass and move conjured up two well-taken goals by Spittle and Coulthard. The first being a one touch move down the right, ending in Palmer cutting the ball back to Spittle to fire into the roof of the net from five yards out. The second will be contender for team goal of the season. A ten pass move involving seven players moved the ball from right to left, and back right. A pull back by R.Ash picked out Coulthard whose first touch finish hi the top corner

Halas Hawks v Youth XI - 17th September 2006.
Chaddesley youth returned to winning ways this weekend with a superb performance over Halas Hawks. Although Halas had home advantage and went a goal up half way through the first half, Chaddesley never lost heart and soon equalised with a Ben Tolley header from a corner. The teams went in 1-1 at half-time.
Chaddesley played with 10 men for the majority of the second half with Louis Fazey out with stomach pains. However, a well worked second goal for Chaddesley came half way through the second half as a through ball was headed on by Dan Weston allowing him to run into the area and slot home despite the attention of three defenders. With around 10 minutes left the lively 'Westy' made it 3-1 with a jinking run in the inside right channel to outpace his marker then calmly round another defender to slot home - game over.

Phoenix v Chaddesley Sun XI - 9th September 2006.
The season's opener started well for Chaddesley against a Phoenix side already with three points on the board. Possession was all the away sides for the first thirty minutes, but without a clear-cut chance being created. Then, on the half hour, the home side went ahead against the run of play from a corner; a great ball in was headed home from six yards. The remainder of the half was evenly contested, but just after the turn around Phoenix inflicted a killer punch, scoring a volley from twelve yards. Chaddesley then got back on top by playing good passing football and created a few half chances. Unfortunately efforts by R.Ash, Coulthard, D.Ash and Palmer missed the intended target. A goal eventually came with five minutes remaining when the keeper misjudged a Woodhouse cross and R.Ash placed a half volley into the net. A deserved equaliser nearly arrived right at the death but Poultney's twenty-yard effort flew inches wide.

Youth XI v Cookley Boys - 9th September 2006.
A lacklustre performance saw Chaddesley youth go down 4-1 at home in a surprising result against newly promoted Cookley Boys FC . Coach Austin said the only positive moments were good performances by Dan Weston, Ryan Moore and Jack Roe (goalscorer) as last seasons top scorer Andy Reeson went off after only 5 minutes with a re-occurrence of the back injury that has hampered his pre-season training. A spirited display by Cookley keeper Harrison Foster seemed to be the difference between the two teams..
